राष्ट्रीय ऊर्जा संरक्षण दिवस 2025
नमस्कार प्रकृति मित्रों!
मित्रों, यदि मात्र एक दिवस घर में बिजली न हो, तो हमारे फ़ोन को तो छुट्टी मिलेगी, परंतु हमें लगेगा कि सारे संसार से हमारा नाता टूट चुका है। जैसे मानो, मन-मस्तिष्क दोनों की गति रूक जाती है।
परंतु, यदि हमेशा के लिए बिजली न हो तो? या बिजली समाप्त हो जाए, तो?
इन्हीं प्रश्नों पर पुनर्विचार किया जाए और जागरूकता लाई जाए, इसी कारण सरकार ने एक विशेष दिवस घोषित किया है— “राष्ट्रीय ऊर्जा संरक्षण दिवस”, जो 14 दिसंबर को मनाया जाता है। भारत में ऊर्जा संरक्षण दिवस को ऊर्जा दक्षता ब्यूरो द्वारा आयोजित किया जाता है।
इस दिवस का उद्देश्य
राष्ट्रीय ऊर्जा संरक्षण दिवस का उद्देश्य स्पष्ट है— ऊर्जा दक्षता और इस के प्रति समाज में जागरूकता लाना, साथ ही ऊर्जा का संयमित उपयोग करने के लिए नागरिकों, उद्योगों और संगठनों को प्रोत्साहित करना।
वैसे ऊर्जा को अंग्रेजी भाषा में एनर्जी (Energy) कहते हैं और यदि हमारे भीतर ऊर्जा न हो, तो न हम कोई कार्य कर पाएंगे, न मशीनें। परंतु, जब इसी ऊर्जा का व्यर्थ या अनुचित स्थान पर उपयोग होता है, तो इससे कोई लाभ नहीं होता। ठीक उसी प्रकार, जैसे हम कभी-कभी क्रोध में, विवादों में अपनी शक्ति व्यर्थ करते हैं।
तो लोगों को इस दिवस के माध्यम से यही शिक्षा देनी है और उन्हें प्रेरित करना है ऊर्जा बचत करने के लिए।
संसाधनों का बचाव
कोयला और प्राकृतिक गैस जिससे बिजली निर्माण की जाती है, यदि यही संसाधन समाप्त हो जाएँ, तो हम क्या करेंगे?
ये संसाधन सीमित हैं, तो इनके उपयोग में सावधानी आवश्यक है।
वैसे पानी से भी बिजली निर्माण होती है और इस प्रक्रिया को जल विद्युत उत्पादन कहा जाता है। परंतु, आज पानी की कितनी समस्याएं हैं यह हम जानते हैं। जहाँ लोगों को पीने के लिए पानी नहीं होता, वहाँ बिजली निर्माण की कल्पना भी कठिन है।
परंतु, ऐसा होते हुए भी क्या हम बिजली, पानी का उचित पद्धति से उपयोग करते हैं?
अरे, हम तो ब्रश करते समय नल खुला छोड़ देते हैं, खाली कमरे में पंखा, ए.सी., या लाइट्स चालू छोड़ देते हैं।
अर्थात, अनावश्यक उपयोग या अतिपयोग उचित नहीं हैं। ऐसी परिस्थिति में तो हमें संतुलन बनाना आवश्यक है। पानी की एक-एक बूंद बचाना आवश्यक है, क्योंकि स्मरण रहें— “बूंद-बूंद से ही सागर बनता है।”
सरकार का प्रयास
hindi.downtoearth.org की एक रिपोर्ट बताती है कि भारत सरकार ने पर्यावरण की सहायता हेतु 5 जनवरी 2015 को उजाला कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ किया था। इसमें घरेलू उपभोक्ताओं को एलईडी बल्ब और ऊर्जा-बचत पंखे उपलब्ध कराए गए थे।
संपूर्ण भारत में, ईईएसएल (एनर्जी एफिशिएंसी सर्विसेस लिमिटेड) सरकारी कंपनी द्वारा 36.87 करोड़ एलईडी बल्ब और 72 लाख एलईडी ट्यूब लाइट वितरित किए गए।
इससे यह स्पष्ट होता है कि, एलईडी बल्ब अधिक लाभदायक होते हैं और बिजली बचाने का सरल उपाय हैं।
| परिणामस्वरूप— 176.2 बिलियन किलोवाट ऊर्जा की बचत हुई। 12.5 करोड़ टन सीओ₂ ग्रीनहाउस गैसों के उत्सर्जन में कमी आई। उपभोक्ताओं के बिजली बिलों में 70,477 करोड़ रुपये की बचत हुई। |
ऊर्जा संरक्षण के अन्य उपाय
- एलईडी बल्ब के साथ-साथ, ऊर्जा-बचत रेफ़्रिजरेटर और सौर-ऊर्जा उपकरण अपनाएँ।
- उपकरण उपयोग में न हों तो स्विच बंद करें।
- घर और कार्यस्थल पर दूसरों को प्रेरित करें।
- और पानी व्यर्थ न करें।

National Energy Conservation Day 2025
Greetings Nature Lovers!
Friends, if there is no electricity at home for just one day, then our phones may get a holiday, but we will feel as if our connection with the entire world is broken. As if the pace of both mind and brain comes to a halt.
But what if there is no electricity forever? Or electricity runs out completely?
It is to rethink these very questions and to bring awareness that the government has declared a special day— “National Energy Conservation Day,” which is celebrated on December 14. In India, Energy Conservation Day is organized by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency.
The Objective of This Day
The purpose of National Energy Conservation Day is clear— to promote energy efficiency and spread awareness about it in society, along with encouraging citizens, industries, and organizations to use energy judiciously.
By the way, in the English language, “Urja” is called Energy, and if there is no energy within us, neither we nor machines will be able to do any work.
But, when this same energy is wasted or used in the wrong place, then it brings no benefit.
Just like sometimes we waste our strength in anger or arguments. So, through this day, people are to be given this very lesson and inspired to save energy.
Saving of Resources
Coal and natural gas, from which electricity is generated—if these resources get exhausted, then what will we do?
These resources are limited, so caution in their use is necessary.
Electricity is also generated from water, and this process is called hydropower generation.
But, today we know how many problems there are related to water. Where people don’t even have drinking water, there the imagination of electricity production is also difficult.
But even then, do we use electricity and water properly?
Oh, we even leave the tap running while brushing, keep the fan, AC, or lights on in an empty room.
That is, unnecessary use or overuse is not right. In such a situation, it is necessary for us to maintain balance. Every single drop of water must be saved because always remember— “Drop by drop, the ocean is formed.”
The Government’s Effort
A report by hindi.downtoearth.org says that to help the environment, the Government of India launched the UJALA program on January 5, 2015.
Under this, LED bulbs and energy-saving fans were provided to domestic consumers.
Across India, 368.7 million LED bulbs and 7.2 million LED tube lights were distributed by the government company EESL (Energy Efficiency Services Limited).
As a result—
176.2 billion kilowatt-hours of energy were saved.
12.5 million tonnes of CO₂ greenhouse gas emissions were reduced.
Consumers saved ₹70,477 crore in electricity bills.
From this, it becomes clear that LED bulbs are more beneficial and are a simple way to save electricity.
Other Ways of Energy Conservation
- Along with LED bulbs, adopt energy-saving refrigerators and solar-energy devices.
- Switch off appliances when not in use.
- Inspire others at home and workplace.
- And do not waste water.
