नमस्कार मित्रों! जैसा की आप सभी जानते हैं कि भारत त्योहारों की धरती है। यहाँ प्रत्येक पर्व में संस्कृति, आध्यात्मिकता और समाज को जोड़ने का संदेश छिपा होता है। इन्हीं त्योहारों में से एक है श्री गणेश चतुर्थी—विघ्नहर्ता गणपति का स्वागत करने वाला पर्व।

इस पर्व के पीछे एक रोचक कथा जुड़ी है। जब भगवान कार्तिकेय अपने माता-पिता और भाई से रूठ कर कैलाश पर्वत छोड़ दक्षिण भारत के पर्वतों में चले गए, तब श्री गणेश जी स्वयं उन्हें मनाने वहाँ पहुँचे। वे अपने भाई कार्तिकेय के साथ पूरे दस दिन तक रहे और उनके सम्मान को बढ़ाया।

इसी प्रसंग की स्मृति में ही भारतवासी श्री गणेश जी की मूर्ति को घर में 10 दिनों तक स्थापित करते हैं और फिर विसर्जन कर उन्हें वापस उनके लोक पर विदा करते हैं। साथ ही गणपति बप्पा मोरया! यह जयकारा जैसे ही वातावरण में गूंजता है, हृदय और मस्तिष्क भक्तिभाव से भर जाते हैं।

प्रति वर्ष श्री गणेश चतुर्थी पर लाखों घरों में गणपति बप्पा का स्वागत होता है। लोग सजावट, भजन-कीर्तन और प्रसाद के साथ इस पर्व को मनाते हैं। लेकिन एक गहरी सच्चाई यह भी है कि हम इस पर्व को मनाते-मनाते प्रकृति और पर्यावरण को हानि भी पहुँचा देते हैं।

जैसे-जैसे आधुनिकता बढ़ रही है, वैसे-वैसे त्योहारों का स्वरूप भी बदल रहा है। जहाँ पहले लोग मिट्टी की मूर्तियाँ और प्राकृतिक सजावट का उपयोग करते थे, वहीं आज प्लास्टर ऑफ पेरिस (POP), केमिकल रंगों, थर्माकोल, और इलेक्ट्रॉनिक सजावट का चलन बढ़ गया है।
