गुरु तेग बहादुर शहादत दिवस 2025: साहस की प्रेरणादाई कथा
नमस्कार प्रकृति मित्रों!
मित्रों, “जहाँ सत्य है, वहाँ बलिदान है; जहाँ बलिदान है, वहाँ अमरता है।”
हमारे भारत की मिट्टी ने सदैव वीरों को जन्म दिया है और साहस, बलिदान और क्रांति जिनका परिचय बन गया। भगत सिंह की क्रांति, चंद्रशेखर आज़ाद का साहस, रानी लक्ष्मीबाई की अदम्य शक्ति और नेताजी सुभाषचंद्र बोस का ‘तुम मुझे खून दो, मैं तुम्हें आज़ादी दूँगा’— ये सब आज़ादी के इतिहास में स्वर्ण अक्षरों से अंकित हैं।
इन्हीं क्रांतिकारी परंपराओं में एक और तेजस्वी नाम है— गुरु तेग बहादुर जी। ‘हिंद की चादर’ और ‘भारत की ढाल’ कहे जाने वाले इस महापुरुष ने अन्याय और अत्याचार का सामना तलवार से नहीं, बल्कि अपने विचारों, अपने त्याग और अपने अडिग साहस से किया, और आज 24 नवंबर को हम गुरु तेग बहादुर शहीदी दिवस मना रहे है।
गुरु तेग बहादुर का बलिदान
मित्रों, मुगल सम्राट औरंगजेब के शासनकाल के बीच, भारत में हिंदुओं को बलपूर्वक इस्लाम में परिवर्तित करने के प्रयास किए गए, जिसका विरोध करने वालों को गंभीर परिणाम भुगतने पड़े।
तभी, अपने धर्म की रक्षा के लिए व्याकुल कश्मीरी पंडितों के एक समूह ने सहायता के लिए गुरु तेग बहादुर से संपर्क किया। उस समय, गुरु तेग बहादुर को बंदी बनाया गया और औरंगजेब के समक्ष लाया गया।
चार महीनों तक जेल में रहने और अपने तीन अनुयायियों की क्रूर हत्या देखने के बाद भी, गुरु तेग बहादुर ने अपने विश्वास को त्यागने या अपने दिव्य संबंध को साबित करने के लिए चमत्कार करने से मना कर दिया।
परंतु, उनके अडिग रुख से औरंगजेब क्रोधित हो गया और उसने उन्हें फांसी देने का आदेश दे दिया। और 11 नवंबर 1675 को दिल्ली के चांदनी चौक में गुरु तेग बहादुर का सार्वजनिक रूप से सिर कलम कर दिया गया।
गुरु तेग बहादुर का जीवन सभी लोगों के अपने धर्म का स्वतंत्र रूप से पालन करने के अधिकारों की रक्षा के लिए समर्पित रहा, जिससे वे उत्पीड़न के विरुद्ध प्रतिरोध के प्रतीक बन गए। उनकी शहादत न्याय और धार्मिक स्वतंत्रता के लिए उनके संघर्ष का स्मरण कराती है।

The soil of our India has always given birth to heroes, whose courage, sacrifice, and revolutions became legendary.
Bhagat Singh’s revolution, Chandrashekhar Azad’s bravery, Rani Lakshmibai’s indomitable strength, and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s “Give me blood, and I will give you freedom”—all of these are inscribed in golden letters in the history of our independence.
Among these revolutionary traditions, there is another illustrious name—Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
This great man, called ‘The Blanket of India’ and ‘The Shield of India,’ faced injustice and oppression not with a sword, but with his ideals, sacrifice, and unwavering courage. Today, on November 24, we commemorate Guru Tegh Bahadur Martyrdom Day.
The Sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur
Friends, during the reign of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, attempts were made to forcibly convert Hindus in India to Islam, and those who opposed faced severe consequences.
At that time, a group of Kashmiri Pandits, anxious to protect their religion, reached out to Guru Tegh Bahadur for help.
Guru Tegh Bahadur was arrested and brought before Aurangzeb. Even after spending four months in prison and witnessing the brutal execution of his three disciples, Guru Tegh Bahadur refused to renounce his faith or perform miracles to prove his divine connection.
However, Aurangzeb, angered by his steadfastness, ordered him to be executed.
On November 11, 1675, Guru Tegh Bahadur was publicly beheaded in Chandni Chowk, Delhi.
Guru Tegh Bahadur’s life was dedicated to defending everyone’s right to freely practice their religion, making him a symbol of resistance against oppression.
His martyrdom reminds us of his struggle for justice and religious freedom.
