अब महानवमी उत्सव पर लाल फूल, नारियल, हलवा, मिठाईयां यह तो पूजा में सम्मिलित की ही जाती हैं, परंतु, क्या आपने कभी कल्पना की है कि, घर में उपस्थित पुराने इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और उपकरण, जो धूल खा रहे हैं, वो भी इस दिवस पर पूजा का विशेष हिस्सा बनते हैं और महत्व प्राप्त करतें है?
“महानवमी की पौराणिक कथा और महत्व”
महानवमी उत्सव की कथा देवी दुर्गा और राक्षस महिषासुर के बीच हुए पौराणिक युद्ध से संबंधित है। महानवमी को देवी और राक्षस के बीच लंबे युद्ध का वह दिवस माना जाता है जब देवी ने राक्षस को घातक रूप से ज़ख़्मी कर दिया था, और युद्ध का दसवां दिवस, जिसे विजयादशमी कहा जाता है, तब देवी ने अंततः राक्षस को पराजित कर दिया। यही कारण है कि, महानवमी के उत्सव पर, देवी दुर्गा की आराधना उनके महिषासुरमर्दिनी अवतार, अर्थात “महिषासुर का वध करने वाली” के स्वरूप में की जाती है।
तो, महानवमी का आध्यात्मिक महत्व है क्योंकि, यह देवी दुर्गा द्वारा राक्षस महिषासुर के विरुद्ध नौं दिवसों तक चले युद्ध का समापन था। यह बुराई पर अच्छाई की जीत का प्रतीक है और विजयादशमी के दिवस नवीन प्रयासों के प्रारम्भ के लिए शुभ माना जाता है।
“कन्या पूजन, पुराने उपकरणों की पूजा और BestIAm®”

अब, इसी अवसर पर इस वर्ष घटी एक रोचक घटना भी सुनिए।
दरअसल, नोएडा की श्रीमती बजाज ने महानवमी के दिवस पर कुंवारी कन्याओं को अपने घर आमंत्रित किया कन्या पूजा के लिए। सुबह आँगन में कन्याएँ बैठी थीं, हल्दी और चंदन से उनके पाँव धोए जा रहे थे, और रसोई से हलवा-पूरी की सुगन्ध आ रही थी।
परंतु, उसी समय सबकी दृष्टि अचानक एक चमकदार एलईडी दीये पर पड़ी।
तभी कन्याएं आश्चर्यचकित होकर बोली, “ये नवीन दीया अत्यंत सुंदर है और मूल्यवान भी लग रहा है”!
तभी श्रीमती बजाज आनंदित होकर बोली,

Mythology and Significance of Maha Navami
The story of Maha Navami is connected to the epic battle between Goddess Durga and the demon Mahishasura. According to the scriptures, it was on Maha Navami that the Goddess fatally wounded the demon after a fierce nine-day battle. On the tenth day—Vijayadashami—she finally defeated and destroyed him.
That is why, on Maha Navami, devotees worship Goddess Durga in her form as Mahishasuramardini—“the slayer of Mahishasura.”
Spiritually, Maha Navami symbolizes the near end of the battle of good versus evil. It represents the triumph of righteousness and sets the stage for Vijayadashami, a day considered auspicious for new beginnings.
Kanya Pujan, Worship of Old Appliances, and BestIAm®

This year, in Noida, Mrs. Bajaj organized a traditional Kanya Puja at her home. Young girls sat in the courtyard as their feet were washed with turmeric and sandalwood, while the kitchen filled with the aroma of halwa-puri.
